My hand is killing me!

Good afternoon from lovely Montgomery, Alabama. My hand feels like someone has stomped on it...this is my own fault but I felt compelled to complain anyways. I decided that instead of just reading over the lecture handouts given to me by barbri to prepare for some practice essay questions, I would hand-write shortened outlines to force myself to learn the material. On the one hand (no pun intended....ok it was intended) I am learning the material quite well but on the other hand (the one that is killing me) it is rather painful. One positive thing is that my hand will be in prime essay writing shape for July 31st when I have to write 12 essays in 6 hours. I typed all of my exams through law school because my penmanship is horrible...seriously...I don't know how I passed elementary school. I have been focused on writing legibly lately and it takes a significant amount of effort. I have now finished writing outlines for every essay subject except two sub-topics that were short enough already (Tax & Bankruptcy). With a grand total of 124 handwritten pages under my belt (actually on 3 different legal pads) I feel that I have conditioned my now angered appendage and forced an enormous amount of information into my head. I only have one week left here in Montgomery and that reality is finally setting in. I am going to miss this place (especially my lovely wife) but at the same time I have some new and exciting challenges to look forward to. One more week of miserable bar preparation mixed with some packing, moving, mowing, and farewell lunches and dinners and I will be off to Dallas for the Bar. After that I think we are going camping with friends, to Duncan to see Lori's family, to OKC for Jen's wedding, to Tulsa to unload all the wedding junk, then back to Alabama for probably less than 24 hours. But for now I am just enjoying each day that I have left here...last night me and the boys went to the Montgomery Biscuits (Tampa Bay's AA Team) baseball game. I bought a hat (I love to collect hats), a bratwurst, and some ice cream. The lights went out for 20 minutes but since it was $2 beer night all the drunks kept us entertained by throwing soft baseballs at each other and onto the field. Tomorrow night Lori and I are going to see George Jones at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre (Yes I spelled Centre right). Next week I am supposed to have lunch with some of my lawyer buddies and then a dinner with some other friends. All that capped off by a wedding on Saturday night before I leave next Sunday. In between all this I need to prepare a Bible lesson for class this Sunday and next. If I could give up some sleep and still function I would probably do it but alas I must have my beauty rest or I am no fun to be around. Well this post has dragged on for an inordinate amount of time and I feel that I shall now bid you farewell until another random moment of blogging strikes my fancy. Ciao!
