ONE WEEK AWAY
Yesterday marked the one week countdown to the bar exam. I am actually feeling better this week than I did last week. My study plan appears to paying off and I am doing really well on practice essays. I also took another practice MBE (Multiple choice section) and got 75% right. The average score is around 60% right. I also found out yesterday that I was approved for my shoebox apartment in Chicago. Lori and I have been packing a lot and we are really close to being finished it looks like. It is kind of sad leaving our beautiful house but maybe we will be back. On the clerkship front I found out this week that one of my soccer teammates is the nephew of Judge Dubina on the Eleventh Circuit that I applied with. So, he is going to put in a good word for me at the next family get together. I heard from Judge Carnes' assistant last week that he was going to wait to interview until August which means if I get an interview I will have to fly back from Chicago for it. That will cost a pretty penny but if I get the job it will all be worth it. Let's all keep our fingers crossed on the clerkship situation. In other news, I had lunch yesterday with three of my good lawyer friends and it was almost surreal after lunch when I realized I may never see a couple of them ever again. That feeling will probably occur again on Friday night. We are having a pool party/cook out with a lot of friends over at our friend's apartment complex. It looks like we will have a good turnout and if the rain will hold off it will be wonderful evening of food, fun, & friends. Well I better get back to studying now.

I love you!
Do you feel really cool talking about your lawyer friends and judges? Because you sound cool.
Oh, and by the way, you'll do awesome on the bar. We'll say a prayer for you!
