Starting to Freak Out
So...I thought the countdown clock on my Facebook would be a fun idea, but that was about a year ago. Now it's just an evil reminder of the impending doom that is the bar exam. I'm now having difficulty sleeping, and my wife thinks that I'm a little cranky. I'm not really scared that I'm going to fail, but that remote possibility is like an elephant sitting on my chest. So, for now, I take it one breath at a time and hope that in 15 days the elephant will get the heck off of me. Then I'll just be stressed about moving 800 miles away from my wife and my life in Alabama to the cold, windy city of Chicago. Oh, and I recently found out that Texas is the most inefficient bar exam graders in the world! My friends in Alabama will get results in mid September, but I will have the joy, pleasure and privilege of waiting until at least November 7th to learn my fate! This brings up an interesting question. I have been thinking of taking another bar exam in February, but will have to register before I receive any results from the Texas Bar Exam. So, do I register as a student, or a licensed attorney? And do I register to retake the Texas Bar, or have enough arrogance to assume I've passed and register for some other state? If you would like for me to register for the bar in your state, please send me the requisite application fee, anywhere from $500 to $1500. Also, please include a statement of interest from residents of your state and proof of citizenship notarized appropriately.
